Forza Horizon 6 is an open-world racing game developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios. The game takes the Horizon Festival to Japan, featuring environments inspired by locations including Tokyo, mountain passes, rural areas, and other Japanese landscapes.
The game focuses on open-world driving and racing, allowing players to explore Japan, participate in races and other driving activities, collect vehicles, and progress through the Horizon Festival. The game features more than 550 real-world cars at launch.
Forza Horizon 6 supports single-player, online multiplayer, and cooperative play. It also supports cross-save across its supported platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, Steam, SteamOS devices, and PlayStation 5 when that version becomes available.
The game officially launched on May 19, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S and PC through the Xbox app and Steam. Xbox Cloud Gaming is also supported through Game Pass Ultimate. A PlayStation 5 version has been announced for later in 2026, but as of September 13, 2026, no specific PS5 release date is confirmed in the official sources checked.
